Transform Tooling Production with the Markforged FX20 | Webinar
Markforged printers have always been ideal for printing production tooling. However, two factors limited the scope of addressable applications: part size and print speed. FX20 changes that. In this webinar, Senior Product Marketing Manager Daniel Leong and Application Engineer Doug Piazza walk through why the FX20 is uniquely suited for large tools and provide tangible applications that they’ve seen in the field. ExOne Metal Adoption Process
ExOne, a leading provider of binder jet 3D printing systems, has expanded its European Application and Adoption Center. Covering more than 2,000 square meters, the center now also offers metal 3D printing alongside sand binder jetting. ExOne can process a variety of materials using different binder systems and Triple ACT powder compaction. The direct metal process chain guides application customers in eight steps from their idea to their final designs.
ExOne Metal Application Center
ExOne opens a state-of-the-art metal 3D printing adoption center in Europe, expanding engineering support for the regional market. The mission of ExOne’s Adoption Centers, which have locations in the U.S., Germany, and Japan, is to allow customers to try binder jet 3D printing for their designs before they decide to buy an ExOne additive manufacturing system for their own production.
ExOne Desanding Station for Industrial Sand 3D Printers (Furan and CHP)
The new desanding station from ExOne pairs with S-Max® and S-Max Pro™ sand 3D printers. The system is ideal for printers using furan and CHP binders with standard sand types FS001 and FS003, or Cerabeads®. This innovative accessory dramatically improves throughput times and reduces costs associated with removing sand molds, cores and other parts from the job box. Additionally, it enhances the cleanliness of the production environment and simplifies the capture of recycled sand for reuse. Learn more at exone.com/desanding
Production Ready Now: The S-MAX Pro from The ExOne Company
Introducing the new S-MAX Pro™ sand 3D printer from The ExOne Company, the global leader in industrial 3D printers for sand, metal and ceramics using binder jetting technology. The S-MAX Pro, introduced at the at the2019 GIFA International Foundry Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany, can 3D print sand molds, cores and tooling for metal casting at speeds of up to 135 l/h (18 s/layer). At those speeds, the machine can 3D print two full 1800 x 1000 x 700 mm job boxes, each with a volume of 1,260 L, in just 24 hours. However, speed is just one of the features that makes the S-MAX Pro a production ready. The new scaleable and smart system also features: - a newly developed, highly efficient printhead - a fully automated recoater - An easy system for changing out materials, ideal for foundries producing complex parts with various casting materials - A box-in-box system that enables the machine to deliver 24/7 operation. - a state-of-the-art control system also features cloud connectivity and Industry 4.0 integration capabilities.

voxeljet - Creating 2.2-metre tall bronze statue using 3D printing technology
Working with the London Bronze Casting Company, the UK arm of voxeljet brought their 3D printing expertise to help produce ‘The Green Man’ – a project to commemorate the foundry that formerly operated in Deptford, London where he now stands. The form and shape of the statue is based on a foundry worker, ‘Bill'. To create the part, Bill, Sally and Vince (technicians at London Bronze Casting) were 3D scanned using a photogrammetry technique, the data was then manipulated in a variety of CAD programs to produce a final digital finish and look. The form itself was printed on a voxeljet VX1000 PPB printer at our manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes, UK and then processed at London Bronze Casting, a foundry focused on research, innovation and craft to produce the final statue standing 2.2m tall and weighing 200kg.
