ExOne opens a state-of-the-art metal 3D printing adoption center in Europe, expanding engineering support for the regional market. The mission of ExOne’s Adoption Centers, which have locations in the U.S., Germany, and Japan, is to allow customers to try binder jet 3D printing for their designs before they decide to buy an ExOne additive manufacturing system for their own production.

HOW IT'S DONE: Binder Jet 3D Print of Metal
In less than one minute, you'll learn how ExOne transforms ultra-fine metal powders into high-density precision parts with binder jet 3D printing, the fastest form of 3D printing for metals. As pioneers in metal binder jetting, ExOne's machines use patented Triple Advanced Compaction Technology to deliver final metal parts with 97+% density and high accuracy of +/- 1% to 2.5%, depending on material. What's more, our machines deliver part density variability across the build area of just 0.3%.
ExOne Metal Binder Jet 3D Printing Process
This short clip shows the metal 3D printing process using ExOne's exclusive binder jetting technology. First, it lays down a layer of powdered metal material, such as 316L, tool steel or copper. Then, the machine prints a liquid binder onto the powder where desired. As it repeats this process layer by layer from a digital design file, a green part is created in metal. The part must then be sintered in a furnace to fuse the particles together. ExOne has been binder jetting metal since it launched the industry's first commercial binder jet system in 1998, the ProMetal RTS-300.
