3D printed a 1500 mm tall whale tail - Builder 3D Printers - Extreme 2000 PRO

In this video you see how a 1500 mm tall whale tail is being 3D printing in just under 48 hours. The Extreme 2000 PRO is one of the biggest industrial FDM 3D printers available today and is often used for prototyping, but also for creating props, statues and other objects like marketing displays. The whale tail was printed with a 0.8 mm nozzle, a 0.5 mm layer height and 6% infill. The speed of the printer was 150 mm p/s. As you can see, the print quality is super smooth, even with a bigger layer height. The print is now being painted by the client and will be on display at a local exhibition here in the Netherlands.
