CNC Turning with the CTX Series: The Highest Standard of Universal Turning

CTX 6th Generation: Setting the Highest Standard for Universal Turning DMG MORI introduces the new 6th gen. CTX line universal turning machines, positioned as the successor to both CTX 5th generation and the CLX line. This model seamlessly integrates the best features of both machine lines – combining the cost effectiveness of the CLX series with the performance and equipment diversity of the CTX products. New features include a main spindle with energy-efficient synchronous integrated motor, boasting improved thermal behavior and achieving speeds up to 5,500 min-1, along with a bar capacity of up to 102 mm and the turrets now coming with air/oil lubrication. Optional equipment variants offer a Y-axis with a stroke of up to 130 mm or a counter spindle with speeds of up to 6,000 min-1. Direct Drive turret can achieve speeds of up to 12,000 min-1. Additionally, there’s a rear chip conveyor (available for CTX 350 and CTX 450 only) as an alternative to the standard ones. On the control side, DMG MORI provides the choice between SIEMENS and FANUC. The new CELOS X for Siemens, equipped with a 24" display and physical keyboard, ensures high operating comfort. Intelligent automation solutions, facilitating autonomous loading and unloading of workpieces, as well as shaft unloading through a sub spindle system, complete the modular options range. With a turning diameter of up to 480 mm and a turning length of up to 1,225 mm, the CTX 550 offers maximum flexibility for machining various types of demanding workpieces.
