MULTUS U5000_EMO2021【OKUMA CORPORATION JAPAN】

The MULTUS Series is the Okuma product range for horizontal multitasking lathes. These machines are dedicate to flexible machining of small batch high volume parts up to complex and process intensive machining of mass production parts. With 3000mm distance between the centers the MULTUS U5000 is the biggest machine in the series. Equipped with a steady rest on the optional lower turret it is prepared for long shafts as well as simultaneous machining with both turrets. Additionally we have our NC-B axis together with the high precision C-axis on the machine to enable full 5-axis machining in the same class as a dedicated 5-axis machining center. A laser tool breakage detection our dialogue programming system IGF and a package of “helper Apps” in the OSP suite on our controller make the daily job of the operators much easier. The optional Gear Machining Package is one example, which enables the easy creation of NC programs for Gear hobbing and Power Skiving. As a new feature, this MULTUS is equipped with a long tool stocker to store three additional tools up to diameter 60 at length of 600mm.
