The Heraeus Inkjet Gold - an innovative digital Precious Metal Decoration

The Heraeus Inkjet Bright Gold is a global innovation as it enables for the first time to decorate substrates with a digital printing method. Decoration with precious metal was formerly only possible with application methods like spraying, brush application, direct screen printing, pad printing or lining. Now Heraeus developed a global innovation: The Heraeus Inkjet Gold allows the precious metal decoration with digital printing methods and could be used with different print heads such as e. g. from Xaar or Fuji. Inkjet printing not only allows a fl exible creation of prepress reproduction – it also produces detailed high quality printings with precise contours. It is furthermore a very comfortable and practically odorless decorating method. The Heraeus Inkjet Bright Gold Heraeus ink jet bright gold is suitable for printing via piezoelectric Ink Jet heads on glazed substrates such as glass or ceramics. After firing high reflective metallic gold films are achieved. Heraeus ink jet gold for tiles was designed for operating temperature between 25 – 50°C. After printing the glazed substrates must be fired at around 800°C to generate the gold film.
