Datacom application - PAM4 modulation of 850nm for 100Gbps

The video is showing the performance of the TRUMPF 100G components for optical data communication. The demonstrator shows that the TRUMPF VCSELs and photodiodes enables 100Gbps optical link for AOC applications with error-free transmission. The demonstrator works with 850nm 1x4 VCSEL and photodiode for 100 Gbps, using the PAM4 modulation scheme for a 400GBASE-SR4 application. The TRUMPF VCSEL and photodiode solutions are combined with an industry standard bit analyzer and pattern generator with 3 taps pre-equalization to compensate for the 30 cm coax cables only.
