Thermobot Crack Detection

Crack detection with laser and industrial robot. ThermoBot replaces magnetic particle / dye penetrant inspection. ThermoBot autonomously inspects complex parts. Based on CAD data, an automatic planning of the robot movements is carried out in advance. An industrial robot grips and moves the piece. A local heat flux is introduced via laser. A thermographic evaluation detects cracks in the material. The Inspection result and the position of the cracks are displayed and documented.
